Bench Buddy

We held a special day at the school when we officially opened our Bench Buddy. The children raised money by having a Pyjama Day to buy a Bench Buddy. We decided that this would be a fitting tribute to out friend and colleague Tadhg O' Connor. Tadhg's family came , his mother Stephanie spoke and said that the bench was a lovely idea . It is a place where people can come and sit , chat and enjoy each other's company. This is something that Tadhg loved to do. Well done to Luadhán who cut the ribbon. Fr Eugene gave the bench a special blessing. It was lovely to see past members of staff who took them the time to be with us.A big thank you to all the staff and especially to Mrs Callaghan for her choir, Ms Markham for preparing her students to say a poem in Irish and to Ms Burns for preparing the school band. It all made for a wonderful celebration and a day we will all remember.
