 Fingal School’s athletic programme

  • The children in Balrothery are taking part in the Fingal School’s athletic programme. They have competed in Balheary Park on three occasions. The final will take place in Morton Stadium in May.

The school has both boys and girls GAA teams. Under the umbrella of Cumann na mBunscoil the children are playing against local schools. Both teams are doing well this. Our aim is to get on that bus to Parnell Park!

Over the years tennis has become very popular in the school. There is a local tennis club and thanks to one of our teachers, Mrs Carew, who has ensured that the school has become involved in the tennis league. Since Mrs Carew retired Ms Rooney has taken this on. The children receive some tennis coaching and compete in the Dublin School’s League.
