The students of Balrothery NS had a great Science Week. Each class carried out an experiment , then shared their learning experience with other classes. Sarah Callaghan kelly came and gave a workshop to 3rd and 4th class who now are watching bacteria grow in their petri dishes.
The infants went on a trip to Imaginosity where they took part in a science workshop learning all about how their bodies work.
The senior end of the school designed rockets and launched them at school. The design and engineering of rockets was amazing. The junior end of the school designed and made aeroplanes. They likewise showed great imagination and scientific knowledge. Thank you to the parents for your help here. Hope you enjoyed it as well.
On the yard there were some experiments with light, testing ramps and toy cars, magnetism and hunting for mini-beasts. Great fun!
Many thanks to Ms McKiernan for co-ordinating this week.
