Maths Week: Maths Detectives in 5th & 6th
21st Oct 2024
One of our activities for Maths week in 5th and 6th was to work together in pairs to create a maths problem that their classmates could solve. We prepared by deciding what operations(+-/x) would be needed to solve the problem, what the setting would be and who had the problem to solve. The children then drafted the problem with a solution in their pairs, checking that it worked out and made sense, they then wrote up their problems on to their detective lenses with the answer on another. In groups the children tried to match up the correct questions to their answers. This was a great challenge and the children produced a lovely variety pf problems to solve!
