School will reopen on the 2nd of September
Dear all,
Apologies but following a meeting with the Design Team this afternoon the Board of Management would like to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances the school will open for pupils on Monday the 2nd of September. We will prioritise tuition over non – tuition activities to make up for time lost so that teaching and learning will not be impacted.
The new extension will be ready for pupils on Monday the 2nd. Unfortunately the existing school building will not be ready due to ongoing work on the mechanical and electrical upgrade.
This means that on Monday the 2nd of September Ms O Neill’s, Ms Gleeson’s, Ms Mc Dermott’s, Ms Mc Cabe’s , Ms Mohan’s , Ms Garrigan’s and Ms O Mahony’s classes will be in the new extension, all others will be in the prefabs. Again apologies for this. You will get a video nearer the time to show the path that your child will take on that 2nd of September.
We have been reassured that this will be for 2-3 weeks only at which point we can occupy the existing building and the prefabs will be removed.
The Board of Management would like to thank you for your co-operation and patience with this.
It has been a very busy summer for the Board of Management and we are delighted with the new extension. It looks fantastic!
The new school will serve the pupils of today and those of the future very well indeed.
Kind regards,
Mairéad Murphy
